Subscription Boxes Worth Your Money

Hello Lovelies

It’s been a minute since I’ve posted, but after a hiatus I’m glad to say I’M BACK!  Sometimes you have to take a step back and re-acess where you are in life otherwise life can just become robotic. I realize now what is my WHY, so here I am standing, well writing in my purpose again because I understand my why. Anyways I’m not going to keep rattling about that because we need to discuss the hype with subscription boxes. There are all kinds of subscription box possibilities out there from food, to pet supplies, and clothes, to makeup. You name the category and there is undoubtedly a subscription box that’s got you covered.

Since this can be both addictive and expensive, I thought it would be helpful to share with you guys a couple of my current monthly boxe. I think these are both worth the hype and the coins.

Boxycharm $21/per month

Each monthly box will include 4 or 5 full-sized beauty items ranging from skincare, to beauty, to beauty tools. The kicker is that each box is valued at $100 but get this….you pay $21 a month! Uh duh! This one is a no brainer and it explains why there is currently a waiting list to get your hands on this one. Unlike other boxes, Boxycharm doesn’t do the client surveys and no two people get the exact same items but everyone will get some items alike. If that makes sense? For example every Charmer may have gotten the  eyeshadow palette, but maybe not everyone got the Dr. Brandt’s primer; they may have gotten the Girlactick lipstick instead. Basically you get what you get and don’t pitch a fit! Here’s a look at what I got in my January 2018 Charmers Box:

1) The Crown Brush Glam Metals Palette $29.99

2) IT Cosmetics Universal Brow Powder Pencil $24

3) Pur Cosmetics Bronze & Brighten Cheek Palette $34

4) Dr. Brandt Pores no more primer $34

Liveglam Kiss Me Subscription Box $19.99/month

Calling all lipstick lovers out there! With the overwhelming options of colors, textures, and brands out there, this next subscription box seemed like a win win to me. With this box  you get 3 new colors every month in a formula that is both creamy and long-wearing. The mind-blower is that you won’t ever get the same color! How can they come up with so many options without repeating? I’ve been a subscriber for almost a year now and I havent had any color repeated. I’ve gotten, matte, gloss, metallic, and satin so far. The good thing about Kiss Me is if you’re not feelin’ your next lippies? Trade them! Strapped for cash? Skip a payment! Got lippie overload? Cancel anytime. It’s that simple. Here is my January 2018 Kiss Me box :

Now I hear your thoughts. That midnight color, I’m not sure about? I said the same thing at first sight but then I tapped a bit of the sequins over top and it changed the color to a more wearable option for me. Stay tuned for an Instagram post with that combo! But what about that goals!! What… What… I’m in lovewith that rich red color and its screaming Valentine’s Look.

Just an FYI. The Live glam company also has a monthly makeup brush box where you receive 3-8 new makeup brushes from Morphe Brushes every month: .

They are also about to launch an eyeshadow box. You will get 6 new shadows each month. Both of these are $19.99 a month.

If you are interested in either one of these boxes, feel free to use my codes. Thank me later!

The Simple Makeup Trick That Will Make Your Eyes Pop!

Hello Beauties:

When you hear the word “tight-lining” you may think this is just another beauty tip that you should just blow off as a faddish makeup trick,  but it’s actually an eyeliner trick pro makeup artists have used for decades.

The technique was made famous by industry luminaries Kevyn Aucoin and Laura Mercier, and is a technique where you draw eyeliner inside the lash line, and on the waterline. It provides an imperceptible definition and structure to the face by filling in any gaps in the lash line and creates contrast with the irises, according to celebrity makeup artist Suzy Gerstein.

“That contrast helps really define the eye without making it look made up. Done properly, it should not look like you are wearing eyeliner at all,” she told HuffPost in a recent article. “Your eyes should just look bigger and more twinkly, but to the naked eye it will not be obvious why exactly they look so amazing.”

Gerstein notes that the late makeup artist Way Bandy used this technique in his ’70s and ’80s makeup manuals before it even had a name. “Tight-lining is great for hooded eyes and other eye shapes that tend to look overly made up or droopy with a thick, visible band of traditional eyeliner,” she said. “The trick is also a fantastic way to intensify a smoky eye or anchor a wash of pale shimmery shadow.”

So how exactly do you tight-line?

Gerstein recommends positioning a mirror on a flat surface so you’re looking down into it. “Gaze down into the mirror with your chin angled upwards and eyes staring downwards to allow you to get into that sweet spot right in the lash lines. Using your non-dominant hand, pull gently up on the lid and use your other hand to tight-line,” she said. Watch the YouTube video from New Beauty Magazine experts.

Do you currently tight line?
