Eyeshadow Colors You Shouldn’t Be Afraid To Rock Part 1

Hello My Beauties:

I am so excited to bring you my 2 Part series on eyeshadow colors you shouldn’t be afraid to rock in 2015. We have shimmery shades of nude, from champagne to chocolate that all look sophisticated and sexy when softly smudged around eyes. Urban Decay’s cult classic Naked Palettes make a pretty convincing case neutrals are gorgeous but sometimes an unexpected pop of color around the eyes can really elevate your style points and up your beauty game. With all of the vibrant palettes launching left and right, I believe the makeup industry is summoning the risk takers, women that aren’t afraid to be edgy and sexy. In this series I will feature my very own MOTD looks that showcase my style and my favorite eye shade picks. This is Part 1 of my 2 part series to show what I think are the most beautiful and flattering colors on every woman. I hope you enjoy ♥

Burgundy

Although generally reserved for shades of lipstick, burgundy shadow can add an element of surprise and fierceness. Choosing a saturated shade with a brown undertone will flatter any complexion; L’Oreal’s Infallible Eyeshadow in Glistening Garnet is a great metallic pick, while Makeup Geek’s eyshadow single in Bitten is a true and highly pigmented shade with a matte finish. A beautiful bonus of burgundy shadow is its ability to make lighter eye colors really, really pop, yet still flatter brown eyed girls. You can make it look edgy without being too dramatic.

Purple

Purple eyeshadow in an array of shades has been seen on everyone from celebs to the runways.  These days, the daring pop of color is sexy and will definitely get you some attention in the way of compliments.  If you’re looking for a bold punch of colour in small doses, line eyes with Stila’s Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in Purple Tang, and smudge with fingers or a Q-Tip. Inky, sultry and super long lasting.

 Green

2015-07-10-21-21-22-082Green lids are the perfect combo for brown eyes. Using a rich velvety green is a must so that you don’t end up with panda eyes. The light should catch the reflective properties of the green as it does with Colourpop’s Metamorphosis Eyeshadow Quad in Kindness  which has warm red brown undertones with a gold, green and blue duo chrome in a Sheer Opal finish. You will want to use a neutral transition shade in your crease so that it doesn’t overpower the green.

What are your favorite eye shades?
