A Girl Obsessed: My Drugstore Makeup Haul

drugstore haulMy poor hubby has the shingles so I was in Walgreens picking up some meds and they were having a B1G1 50% off sale plus they had a $1.50 off coupon for L’Oreal eye shadows. I quickly grabbed up the L’Oreal infallible eye shadows because I love how awesomely pigmented they are. Jaclyn Hill recently did a video using the gorgeous plum color above. I already have Burst Into Bloom which is a beautiful purple and if you apply these shadows wet they will give you even more pigmentation:

So here’s what I got:

L’Oreal Infallible Eye shadows in Smoldering Plum, Endless Pearl, Glistening Garnet, and Endless Sea. You can purchase them from Ulta here

These colors are to die for and I will probably end up purchasing most of the shades. The color adheres to the eyelid as durably and comfortably as a second skin and lasts for up to 24hrs. With a formulation that lies between the comfort of a cream and the ease of application of a powder, infallible eyeshadow melts gently from the fingertips to the eye lid on application. The result is a luxurious, velvety texture. Infallible Eyeshadow provides sweatproof, waterproof, crease resistant wear with velvet-soft texture that blends easily, providing luminous color with a smooth, even finish and for $7.99 and second one 50% plus $1.50 coupon they were a steal.

Jordana Liquid Cat Eyeliner in Envy

This is my first purchase of any Jordana products so I hope I won’t be disappointed with this liner. I’ve seen reviews and they’ve been good. YouTuber Faceovermatter did a tutorial using the envy color which is what made me seek it out.

Maybelline Master Graphic Liner in Striking Black

I picked this one up because their tip is made similar to the Urban Decay liner that I just got from Sephora. I will have to let you know if they work the same but the reviews have been 50/50.The struggle is real wit my winged liner skills so I need all of the help I can get! The company swears it will draw the boldest line with the sharpest edge.

maxresdefaultMaybelline The Blushed Nudes Palette

I was skeptical about purchasing this one because I wasn’t a huge fan of their other nudes palette but these colors kept tugging at me and I decided to give it a try plus I needed to spend $5 to get my 3,000 rewards points. Not sure if you are aware but L’Oreal owns both Maybelline and Urban Decay so I was curious to know if there were any similarities in this palette to UD’s Naked 3 palette.

Although there are no distinct color similarities, the pigmentation and the colors do look alike.

If you guys want to see reviews of any of the products I purchased, just let me know. Have you made any new beauty purchases recently?

  1. So I knew I had a makeup issue (still not ready to admit to addiction), but GIRL you’ve got me beat!! In addition, you and you’re blog are fueling my “issue” 😘

I love the Naked palettes, but didn’t know Urban Decay and Maybelline were owned by as L’Oreal.

    Seriously loving your blog.

Mission for today: Operation Infallible 😝
